Few months ago I found out this site that allows you to monetize all the time and money you have invested studying languages. The system developed by mygengo give us the chance to work as translator from home.
All you have to do is pass a short test consisting on translating a short text (300 words aprox.) to the language of your selection. Your test will be reviewed by a professional translator working for mygengo that would determine whether you become part of the Standard Staff or not. Once you are a member all you have to do is pick up pieces of work from the ones offered and translate them for 0.03$/word.
On top of that you will be given the chance to promote to more complex levels of translation (a.k.a. better paid) by taking futher tests once you have passed the Standard one.

Great post. I also started working as a freelance translator for a translation agency besides my regular work. And I must say that this extra income of finance feels good.
